Handel’s Messiah is one of the most beloved and enduring masterpieces in the choral repertoire, tracing the story of redemption through prophecy, the life of Christ, His Passion, Resurrection, and ultimate triumph over death. Rather than presenting the story as an opera, Handel and librettist Charles Jennens invite listeners into a profound meditation on Scripture through music of extraordinary beauty and emotional power. From the quiet assurance of “Comfort Ye” to the exultant “Hallelujah” Chorus and the triumphant closing “Amen,” Messiah continues to inspire audiences with its timeless message of hope, faith, and renewal.
