Founded in 1972 by violinist Paul Rosenthal, the Sitka Summer Music Festival is now under the direction of Grammy-Award winning cellist, Zuill Bailey. In its over 50-year history, the Festival has grown to fill four weeks every June with as many as 24 concerts and events in various locations around town. The summer Festival regularly involves over 25 business and community partners, plus nearly 100 volunteers.

Husband and wife duo, Danielle Talamantes, soprano and Kerry Wilkerson, bass-baritone will collaborate with collaborative pianist and composer, Henry Dehlinger in a series of performances taking place the week of June 16, 2025. Their time as artists-in-residence will also feature the world premier of “To an Alaskan Glacier” written specifically for the Sitka Music Festival. The composer is Henry Dehlinger and the poem is by Charles Augustus Keeler.
